1. Keep a daily or weekly schedule and to-do list

This will help you keep track of what needs to be done and when. Some of the stress of mommyhood can be completely removed by not being blindsided by appointments or other things to remember to go to or do.

You can use a physical or digital planner, your email’s calendar to do list to keep track of your tasks, appointments, meal plans and more. This will really help you stay more organized and less stressed.

2. Make a list of priorities

This will help you focus on the most important tasks.

Whichever device you chose to use to make your schedule and to-do list, take an extra minute to highlight or mark a star next to the high priorty tasks that must be done.

That way, if your day gets away from you or something unexpected comes up, the important tasks are complete and the other ones can be saved for tomorrow.

3. Delegate tasks

Don’t try to do everything yourself! Delegate some tasks to other family members if you can.

After use, return the items back to their homes so you know where they are for the next time.

Even if it takes a bit of effort in the beginning to improve the home’s organization, this will help you save time and energy in the long run.

Invest a bit of money into organizational products and solutions. This could include bins for clothes, plastic containers for your kitchen pantry, or helpful shelves for your cleaning supplies under a sink.

5. Learn to say “no”

Don’t try to do too much. Focus on what’s important and let go of the rest.

Trying to agree to do too many things in your life will only lead to burnout instead of happiness. If you can’t handle additional work or chores and have no options to delegate it to someone else, feel free to just say, “Sorry but I can’t take that on”.
